begin our journey deep in the Hawaiian jungle. The traditional HEMF
opening party in the heart of the Puna district. The Pahoa Village Cafe
has a great dance floor, a sexy lounge, and a nice outdoor area.

The
Mixx Bistro, Kailua - Kona
The
third time we're bringing HEMF to this sweet outdoor spot on the west
side of the island. The Mixx Bistro sits under palm trees, next to the
King Kamehameha Hotel in Kona and offers a beautiful setting for our
festival.
Saturday Jan 10th 2009, 8pm - 3am
The
Palace Theater, Hilo
The
historic Palace Theater in downtown Hilo hosts our Gala Ball Saturday
night. The Palace is a beautiful 1925 theater, which has been brought
back to life and has become one of the cultural hubs of our city.
The
Palace lobby features our downtempo and live electronica acts.
The
main dance floor is located inside the theater. The sound is deep and
alive. The mood is sexy and playful.
We
will be serving complementary
juice, water and yummy treats throughout the night.
Drink
lots of water.
Remember,
this is a drug & alcohol free event. You don't need it.
Take
a disco nap and come early.

Kalani Honua Oceanside Retreat, Puna

On
sunday we return to our friends at the Kalani Honua oceanside resort
for morning ecstatic dance and our afternoon ambient pool party. HEMF
djs are spinning while we lounge in the pool or one of the hot tubs.
This is a lovely place to relax with your friends after
three nights of revelry and dancing. Enjoy a
beautiful day in a true paradise setting and bring something yummy to
share.
Your
festival pass gives you access to the entire Kalani spa facility, including
hot tubs, sauna, showers and the beautiful pool.
Kalani
Honua is run by a young and dynamic group of creative people that are
poised to show us a good time.
Be
careful - you might fall madly in love with this placeand not want to
leave...
A
black sand (clothing optional) beach is just a few minutes away.
Within a 15 minutes drive you can find natural warm ponds, a good surf
break and volcanic steam vents.
The
red road offers amazing views of the Kalapana erruption. 10 minuted
from Kalani you can visit the giant smoke plume caused by the current
eruption.
We
will be at the Kalani pool from 2 pm till 6 pm. They serve lunch and
dinner on a beautiful lanai overlooking the jungle.
HEMF
participants receive special rates for accomodation and meals at Kalani
Honua.
