I
DJ'd my first party when I was twelve at a high school dance
in southern Germany. I had one turntable, a handful of records
and ABBA was the shit.
I
soon would make my own tracks with custom made instruments and
whatever toys i could get my hands on. Two reel to reel tape decks
and a microphone were my studio.
I
soon discovered my love for the synthesizer (KORG
MS20) and began to pester our neighborhood with layers
of wacky sounds. My punk drummer friend Lippus and I spent hours
in a small room in the back of an old bakery and jammed until
our ears were burning - it was a wild time and we had a hoot.
The space was next to a railroad track and every few minutes a
train would pass and shake the building...

I
spent my college years in Berlin to study communications &
computer music while working with the original Fairlight
CMI. Living with the lunacy of The Wall became a strong influence
in my life and work. Just before the fall of The Wall, I moved
to Austin, Texas and produced programs for local access and the
SXSW music
festival.
My
path led me to the beautiful town of Hilo, on the lush side of
the Big Island. Here I raise chickens, grow my own food and help
preserve the historic Palace
Theater.
This island is a powerful force and a constant inspiration. Surrounded
by it's abundance of beauty and love, I still twist my knobs and
smile...
